The 16th Community Leadership Institute (CLI) met for the first of three sessions on Thursday, April 18. The CLI teaches community leaders about how transportation decisions are made and how they can make a difference.  Here are some scenes from the first night.

To kick things off, participants got an overview about the TPB and the region. (TPB)
During a role-playing activity participants were assigned roles as representatives of different transportation and planning agencies. (TPB)
During the role play activity, TPB staff played the role of various members of the public giving testimony at a public meeting. Here, Bryan Hayes plays the role of a developer. (TPB)
After hearing testimony, the participants gathered in groups with a representative from each agency they were role playing to work towards creating a plan. (TPB)
During the discussion after the activity, participants talked about what they learned from the role playing game. (TPB)

CLI 16 continues for two more weeks. Look for more pictures and reports from the sessions.
